Even though this has been a "down-year" in all things having to do with Seattle Sports, there is a group of dedicated writers looking to provide reasons and answers for our terribly under performing teams.

SeaTown Sports ( http://www.seatownsports.net/) is an independent sports blog that is dedicated to providing up-to-date analysis and news of sports happenings in Seattle. We focus on the Seattle Seahawks, the Seattle Mariners, and Washington Husky Sports. We also include insight on high school sports around the Seattle area.

As avid sports fans, me and my friends often discussed, argued, debated, and sometimes fought over things relating to Seattle sports. We decided to take this passion and put it into this blog. While we continue to enjoy, play, and

New York Knicks - Jordan O'Dromgol

Finally.....Finally it was time....As I saw the sports ticker at the bottom of my screen begin with "Knicks agree to trade", I just knew that either the Stephon Marbury or Eddy Curry issue had finally been resolved. The Knicks season had already started out with some excitement, and this was just going to add to it. A genuine feeling of happiness and relief started to generate inside me.....

Tick....Tick.....the ticker kept going...

As each letter was revealed after "Knicks agree to trade", the feeling of happiness became a feeling of worry..... A few seconds later, the ticker had finished, and my jaw and heart were on the floor.

"The Knicks agree to trade Jamal Crawford to the Warriors for Al Harrington.."

...? What?..... What!? ..... WHAT!??

Tampa Bay Devil Rays - Bubbaknows

First off, I tip my hat to Joe Maddon and the Rays for not only their first AL Pennat, but for being a class act team. I have to be honest and admit that at the begining of the season I could name maybe 3 players on the team. While following them through the Playoffs (My Astros came up short) I have been thoroughly impressed with this team. Hitting, Pitching, Toughness, a bull-pen second to none, and one hell of a manager.

The Rays have not only knocked the "DEVIL" out of their logo, but have successfully knocked out all opposing teams on the way. Competing in MLB's toughest division, AL East, they fought their way to the top and remained there off-on all season, mostly on.

The Rays remind me of the 1970's A's, for their gritty play, and willing ability to throw-down with any team willing to step up. Their Red Sox's fights this season have etched memories in my mind. Carl Crawford's drop kick will remain at the top of those memories.  True Grit=Tampa Bay....

As we continue to grow our community here at BostonRedSoxFanSite.com I've been scouring the net for other Red Sox blogs trying to network a bit.  I recently ran across Boston Red Thoughts ( http://www.bostonredthoughts.com).  If you get a chance, check it out.  I highly recommend it to anyone who loves the Red Sox.

Red Sox fans are the best sports fans in the world, and it's fans like Christine, who writes Boston Red Thoughts, that make it so.

The posts consist of a recap of each game with comments on the current news and rumors about the Red Sox, but also weave in some interesting personal information about Christine.  The writing style is casual and fun.  Christine has a good sense of humor and while it's clear that she knows baseball and the Red Sox very very well, she doesn't take herself too seriously and never comes across as a snobby fan.  I think even a Yankees fan could appreciate her blog (excluding the posts specifically about the "Skankees" as she calls them)!

Since it was launched more than a year ago, Sox and Pinstripes has found that the Red Sox-Yankees rivalry extends to the blogosphere

Yankees-Red Sox. Red Sox-Yankees. You might disagree which team is first, but one point is certain – this is the most storied and heated rivalry in all of baseball. Maybe in all of sports. Now that spring training has started, and opening day nears, a Boston Red Sox fan, who is also a professional journalist who frequently writes about baseball; and a New York Yankees fan have united to create a blog and web site where readers can celebrate, discuss and debate all things Red Sox, Yankees and baseball.

Jeff Louderback, a professional journalist and author, and a lifelong Red Sox fan; and Vincent Mercandetti, a broadcast journalism student at Quinnipiac University and a lifelong Yankees fan, launched Sox and Pinstripes ( www.soxandpinstripes.com) in February, 2007, just in time to chronicle a season that led to Boston’s second World Series championship in four years. More than 18 months later, the blog has already received 200,000-plus page views.

He got lucky only having to play either Nadal or Djokivic - not one in the semis and one in the finals.  He's going to be a year older next year and he's shown real signes of being past his prime this year.  I think this will be his last best chance at a French open title.
